Outfits of the Month: July

Hello everyone. Can't believe we are now half way through 2014. It feels like just last month when we all wished everyone happy New Year. I feel like this year is going by so quickly and still don't think I have made the most out of this year yet.
Anyways moving on, I have never done one of these monthly 'summary' posts. But I think they are a great idea so for any who missed some of my outfits of this month, I thought making a summary of all the outfits will be a great reminder, sort of thing, you know? So Here are all the outfits I wore this month. I linked all of them below. Let me know your favourite? And don't forget to leave requests for future posts.

Lush Fresh Face Mask

Heyy! How you all doing? Here is another beauty post. Sort of a review which I don't usually do. But let me know if you would like to see more of these posts. I went to the lush store the other day just to see what new things they had. First thing when I walked into the store I saw these fresh face masks which is different to the usual face masks. These ones are made fresh just few days/weeks before purchasing and must be stored in the fridge. I don't tend to take care of my skin that much so I don't really experiment much with different facial skin care products. I only get a few small breakouts once in a while. other than that I don't have much of an issue with my skin. This is my first ever face mask so I can't really give a good review on it as I have not got much experience with other face masks. But I just had to make a post on this only because of the 'uniqinueness' of this mask. It's called the 'Catastrophe cosmetic' and I got the blue berry one which is meant to protect and soothe the skin.

My application:
Don't know if this is the right way to apply it but the way I like to apply it is first I cleanse my face and tone it. I then pat my face dry and apply a huge dollop of this all over my face and neck. I leave it for a good 10-15 minutes and then rinse it off with cool water.

apologies for my crusty looking nails

Pros:
  • I like to cool feeling when I apply it straight from the fridge, very refreshing.
  • smells good and lingers for a couple hours after washed.
  • The skin around my T-zone feels much cleaner and less greasy.
  • Just a good happy feeling because I don't usually have that 'me-time' which I should. But it feels good and relaxing and just feel like I should do this more often to take my mind away from all the stress.
  • Different flavours available for different skin types
  • Rich in Vitamins and minerals
Cons:
  • Because it is a 'fresh' face mask, it does expire in a months time so it cannot be used after a month.
  • Pricey! but all lush products are quiet pricey but it is all worth it, especially when you just want to treat yourself now and then
Would I buy again?
Yes I would, I would probably try the lemon one next time which is meant to brighten your skin.

Outfit: Lilacs and Fringe

Hello everyone! hope you all are having a great summer. Let me know how your enjoying your holiday I would love to know.
This kimono I got a while back from Boohoo but never got to style it. It's been sitting in my closet untouched since I bought it and I don't know why. Well maybe because I got it before the summer kimono season, so I completely forgot about it since just recently when I've been seeing kimonos everywhere. So I paired this kimono with a lilac top to match with the flowers on the kimono. So I hope this outfit inspired you all! Let me know what you think? Thank you for reading and I'll see you in my next post!

What I'm Wearing
Top - Miss Selfridge
Kimono - Boohoo
Jeans - New Look
Necklace - Primark (old)

Favourite Nail Polishes for Summer

Hi everyone! Here is another beauty related post. I wanted to do a post about my favourite nail polishes for summer. Because before I started writing a blog, I loved reading these sort of beauty related posts during the summer time, such as top blushes for summer, favourite summer lipsticks and so on. So I thought I would pick my favourite nail polish colours for the summer.
From the few that I have selected, the two that I like to wear on my toe nails are Rimmel Lasting Finish in 'Strawberry fizz' and Barry M Hi Shine in 'Blue Grape'. Just thought some of you might want to know that. And just also wanted to let you know that I'm currently loving the Barry M limited Edition Aquarium Collection and if you haven't tried them out yet, I suggest you do because if you don't then you are missing out. Unfortunately it's a limited edition collection so won't be in the stores for long. Let me know if you have any other favourite colours for summer, because I would love to try out other colours. Let me know what's your favourite from here. I hope this post inspired you all! Thank you for reading and I'll see you in my next post.
